Prof. (Dr) J. M. Hans

PadmaShri awardee Prof. (Dr.) J. M. Hans has done pioneering work in the field of cochlear implant surgery and has performed more than 3,500 cochlear implant surgeries at his center, other centers across the country, and in SAARC countries, achieving a 100% surgical success rate to date. He is a visiting cochlear implant surgeon to the states of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, PGI Chandigarh, and many other centers across India, where he performs CI surgeries for individuals with hearing impairment. He also serves as the Advisor Cochlear Implant Surgeon to Pingalwara Trust, Amritsar.

In addition to performing all types of surgeries for deafness, including Auditory Brainstem Implants, he specializes in tracheal surgery, cosmetic surgery of the nose, and endoscopic surgery of the trachea and esophagus.
